Children and Youth at Decorah UCC
Children are invited during the second half of Sunday morning worship to join downstairs for time of story, activities, and music geared especially for their growing minds and active spirits. If you’d like to learn more about what our Children’s Church is like, you can see the curriculum we use (see the videos below or visit the website for Holy Moly) or accompany the child in your care on Sunday morning. Currently our kiddos of all ages meet together so that they can all learn from and help one another. As the church grows, we’ll continue to add other opportunities to meet the age specific needs of our kids.

Where does children's church meet?
Children’s Church meets in the Congregational Center in a classroom. The “Center” is the building that is down the stairs from the main building. Currently our kiddos of all ages meet together so that they can all learn from and help one another.
Is there nursery care?
Yes! Children of all ages are welcome in worship, but sometimes adults and little ones alike find it helpful to have nursery care. The nursery is located in the Congregational Center. Talk to ushers or greeters (the folks who say hi and hand out bulletins) at the front door to be introduced to our nursery space and adults who provide care.
Is there a space sanctuary policy?
Yes. The church has adopted specific practices to ensure that our kids and adults are nurtured and safe. This includes making sure there are at least two adults always present with our kids and youth.
