Pray & Play
We offer a during-worship faith exploration opportunity called Pray & Play for kiddos in pre-K through grade 5
Children are invited during the second half of Sunday-morning worship to a space geared especially for their growing minds and active spirits.
What is Pray & Play?
Pray & Play includes an age-appropriate, wonder-filled exploration of the scripture story for the day, followed by a hands-on activity and/or craft and ending with a prayer. We often draw from Holy Moly—a theologically progressive, story-driven curriculum with embodied, interactive elements and lots of space for wonder.
There’s typically some time for free play before folks come down for Fellowship Time. Currently our kiddos of all ages meet together so that they can all learn from and help one another.
Where and when does Pray & Play meet?
Pray & Play meets in the Congregational Center in a classroom. The “Center” is the building that is down the stairs from the main building.
A little before halfway through the worship service, children head downstairs with the Coordinator for Childrenn’s Ministry and an adult volunteer. Any adult who wishes to join a child in their care is welcome to come down at the same time.
Is there a Safe Sanctuary policy?
