About the Legal Aid Fund

The Legal Aid Fund is a community effort sustained through individual donations, local congregations, and local organizations. Funds raised provide legal aid on behalf of individuals who need immediate legal representation because of documentation status or following detention by ICE.

Current Needs in the Community

The current financial need is to provide ongoing funds for the legal defense of members of the Decorah area community who have been detained by ICE. The Legal Aid Fund is designed to help families with immigration lawyers’ retainer fees, supplement bail, and assist with ongoing legal expenses.
